Bingely is a place to watch together, talk about what you are watching, and earn for paying attention. These rules keep that fun and fair for everyone. Breaking them can get content removed, rewards forfeited, and accounts suspended or banned.
1. Remember the Human
Bingely is for people who love what they watch. Treat everyone here with respect. Disagree about a plot twist all you like, but attacking people, harassing them, or making them feel unsafe is never allowed. Do not follow someone from thread to thread, pile on, or encourage others to.
2. Content That Is Never Allowed
We remove the following and may ban the people who post it:
• Harassment, bullying, or threats of violence against anyone. • Hate based on identity or vulnerability, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness. • Sexual or suggestive content involving minors, in any form, real or fictional. This is reported to authorities. • Sexually explicit content, non-consensual intimate media, or sexualizing anyone without consent. • Glorifying or encouraging violence, self-harm, or eating disorders. • Personal or confidential information about anyone, including addresses, phone numbers, or private images, or attempts to unmask another user. • Illegal content or content that facilitates illegal activity, including piracy links, unauthorized recordings, or instructions for circumventing a streaming service's protections. • Impersonating any person, show, network, studio, or Bingely staff, or claiming an official affiliation you do not have. • Spam, scams, unsolicited advertising, manipulated engagement, and off-platform promotion designed to farm rewards. • Malware, phishing, or links designed to harm or deceive.
3. Earn Honestly
Rewards exist because people actually watch. Anything that fakes a watch is cheating, and it hurts show owners and honest viewers. Do not:
• Play recordings, transcripts, or synthesized dialogue to the microphone, or read dialogue aloud to trigger verification. • Run more than one device or account on the same episode at the same time, or share your account. • Use bots, scripts, modified apps, or device tampering to earn or claim rewards. • Create extra accounts to collect ticket or sponsorship benefits more than once. • Buy, sell, or trade accounts or BingelyCash outside the app.
Sessions that fail verification are not credited. Cheating forfeits pending and finalized BingelyCash and may result in a permanent ban.
4. Bubbles and Boosts
Bubbles appear in front of viewers while an episode plays, so hold them to a higher bar. Keep bubbles relevant to the show and the moment. Do not use bubbles for advertising, external links, or personal promotion. Do not post misleading bubbles designed only to attract taps. Boosts do not buy exceptions: a boosted bubble that breaks these rules is removed and the boost is not refunded. Mark spoilers clearly in communities for episodes that are still airing.
5. Show Owners and Community Creators
If you set up a show, only do so for content you have lawful access to, and build your keywords and dialogue-timing reference from the real episode. Do not tune a show to favor particular viewers or to make honest sessions fail. If you create a community, keep its name and description honest and free of rule-breaking content. Show ownership and community creation are privileges that can be revoked.
6. Reporting and Blocking
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it: open the menu on any post or comment and choose Report. You can also block a user to hide everything they post from you; manage your blocked users from the Account tab. Reports are reviewed by people, and we act on confirmed violations within 24 hours of a report by removing the content and, where appropriate, removing the user who provided it. Filing false reports to harass someone is itself a violation.
7. Enforcement and Appeals
Depending on the severity of a violation, we may remove content, hide it from other users, cancel rewards, restrict features, suspend an account, or ban it permanently. Serious violations, including anything involving minors or threats of violence, result in an immediate ban and may be reported to law enforcement. If you believe we made a mistake, use our contact form to prepare an appeal, then send it from your account's email address.
